There's more noise, more content and more AI-generated sameness than ever. What actually earns attention: organisations who tap into the opinions, expertise and stories of their own people - not another version of everyone else's messaging.
A sustainable content operation is hard to build. It takes consistency, and most teams don't have the time or resource to give it the care it needs.
An EVP alone doesn't earn attention - it needs to keep living. Content is how it stays alive between campaigns.
Everyone's starting to sound the same, and AI is only going to make generic easier to produce, and differentiation harder to find.
I'm Chris Le'cand-Harwood - a content strategist, producer and creator with 20+ years' experience, and host of the Employer Content Marketing podcast. My background sits in integrated marketing - I was an early adopter and founder of social media services inside an agency, before evolving into content marketing, which turned out to be the best fit both for me and for where the industry's heading.
I set up Content Marketing Pod to apply that content marketing mindset to employer branding - give value to get value.
It's not a tactic bolted on afterwards - it's the chance to have real conversations with your people, until your culture and EVP start coming through them, formally defined or not.
I'll help you bring it to life - through content strategy, coaching your team, or producing the assets myself.
No problem. I'll work with whatever values, mission and culture you've got, turning it into content that earns attention, not noise.
The real difference is the conversation. Introduce me to your people and I'll get them talking, bringing out who they are - no scripts needed. That's what makes content trustworthy and useful, not polished.
As a host and producer, I create the space for your people to be themselves - sharing what they actually know rather than reciting the usual lines. That builds their profile, and genuinely helps whoever's watching, often their future colleagues.
That's where I fit. Give me the introductions and a project, and I'll get moving - a bolt-on to your team, or a sidekick to someone senior.
I started as extra support for their Head of Resourcing, working as content producer alongside an internal production person. That groundwork - building trust, finding the right conversations - is what let the relationship grow into podcasts and documentaries with psychiatrists and nurses. It's the same step-by-step approach I bring to any new client.
Including the Digital Impact Awards, Recruitment Marketing Awards, targetjobs Awards, Employer Brand Management Awards, the Lens Awards, and multiple RAD Awards. I've also judged at the Recruitment Marketing Awards for four years, the International Content Marketing Awards, and the RAD Awards.
